Pizza Buns
From Gem's Vegetarian Cooking
- 1 Whole Grain English Muffin*
- 4 tbs Spaghetti Sauce
- 2 tbs Olives, sliced
- 2 tbs Onion, chopped
- 2 tbs Mushrooms (optional)
- 2 tbs Cheese (Mozzarella and/or Pizza Cheese is traditional but I think cheddar goes well with the whole wheat English muffins)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Separate the English muffin and divide the ingredients between the two halves. Bake for about 15 minutes (watch to make sure cheese doesn't brown too much).
* I prefer using Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Whole Grain Flourless English Muffins. These are available in most health food stores or some supermarkets in the healthy frozen section.
